Some of us might have a wide room at their home but it lacks an abundance of natural light and it looks dark during daytime. Interior designers say that they meet such dilemma very often. The white colour in furniture or wall painting would come first in our minds and is certainly helpful.
However, designers have other decorating solutions to brighten up a dark room.
Chic Gloss Ceiling
One of the best ways to bring more light into a room is a ceiling with a high-gloss paint colour. A glossy ceiling reflects light well, and adds an unexpected element to a room.
Light Wood Flooring
When a room needs additional light, it is best to choose light wood flooring to brighten up the room.
A large, colorful rug can also be used to brighten up a room, by choosing a contrast colour to the furniture or the wall paint and show off your aesthetic.
Double the amount of sunlight in the room by allowing it to reflect on a mirror; use a large mirror or an array of smaller mirrors to help brighten a dark room.
No Heavy Curtains
Use light curtains to provide privacy without turning your room a dark one. If you have a dark curtain replace it with light hue that allows sunshine to spread throughout the room.
