Beef Piccata with Mushroom

Piccata is one of the very well known dishes from the unique Italian cuisine. Today we have beef piccata with mushroom, one of the main dishes served in the top Italian restaurants.


– 500 grams pounded beef filet

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

– 1/2 a cup flour

– 3 tbsp melted butter

– 1 tbsp olive oil

– 2 cups sliced mushrooms

– 2 sliced garlic cloves

– 1/2 cup red vinegar

– 2 tbsp lemon juice

– 2 tbsp caper (optional)

– 3 tbsp fresh parsley finely cut

How to prepare:

1. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the thin slices of meat and cover the slices with flour.

2. Mix the melted butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

3. Add the meat, fry both sides then remove and leave aside.

4. At the same pan, add the mushrooms and mix for two minutes, add vinegar and lemon juice and leave the mixture to boil, then reduce heat and leave for 20 minutes.

5. Add the caper.

6. Put the meat in the serving dish and spread the sauce over it, sprinkle the parsley and serve hot.
