Away from the new Hijri year, Hijazi coffee or Almond coffee is always present in many occasions, especially in winter evenings where the home made Almond coffee adds unique flavor other than any other coffee. Unlike other kinds of coffee, Hijazi coffee is completely different in consistency and taste. The following lines introduce the ingredients and method of Almond coffee.
Ingredients and Preparation
One cup of almonds
8 cups of milk
2 cups of rice flour
2 cups of sugar
Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, or slices of almonds (as preferred)
Stir powdered milk in water, put it on low heat and leave to boil, add the cardamom and sugar and stir. Add the rice flour dissolved in water, continue stirring on very low heat until the mixture thickens, add the almonds and serve hot.
