Konafa with Whipping Cream

Konafa is one of the main and traditional desserts in Ramadan, which adds to the joy of night gatherings. Konafa with Whipping Cream is one of the delicious Konafa recipes.

Ingredients:

500 g Konafa

1 cup ghee

1 cup sugar

2 cups milk

3 tbsp cornstarch

1 pack ready made whipping cream powder

1 tsp vanilla

Syrup (2 cups of sugar – 1 cup of water – lemon juice – tsp vanilla)

Method::

– In a saucepan, add sugar and water, heat and stir until sugar completely dissolves.

– Add lemon juice and vanilla and leave on heat until it becomes medium thick, then remove from heat and leave aside to cool.

– In another saucepan stir milk, starch, sugar, vanilla and the whipping cream powder until completely dissolved, heat with continuous stirring till the mixture boils and its texture becomes thick, remove aside and leave to cool.

– In a deep bowl cut Konafa with your hand into small pieces, rub kanafa with ghee and sugar, and make sure that Konafa absorbs all ghee.

– In an oven tray, spread half the amount of Konafa, press by hand very well and make sure it is even.

– Spread the cold cream evenly on Konafa and cover with the rest of the Konafa.

– Put the tray in a preheated oven at 180 ° C until it becomes golden.

– Once it is out of oven spread cold syrup and garnish with crushed nuts.

– Leave to cool for 15 minutes and serve.
