Eighty-four hotels are set to open providing 27,281 rooms to the Saudi market this year.

Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah and Al Khobar remain the busiest areas for hotel construction across the Kingdom and among the ten most active cities for hospitality development sitting third, fourth, sixth and tenth respectively.
Hilton topped the list of brands with the most hotels currently underway throughout the Kingdom. The company has 30 hotels under development in around 12 different cities.
Meanwhile, the report said Swiss-Belhotel International will open two hotels in Riyadh and one in the Holy City of Makkah this year.
Notable hotel openings set for the kingdom in 2018 include: Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences; Copthorne Hotel Makkah, Jabel Omar; Swiss-Belhotel Al Aziziya Makkah; Millennium Hotel Jeddah; and Hilton Garden Inn Al Khobar.
